Luciano was the son of a Panamanian man and an Ecuadorian woman. He worked as an assistant to the great master of photography Carlos Endara and aspired to dethrone him someday. But the harder he tried, the less he succeeded. He was an unhappy and kindhearted man who became a second-rate photographer of weddings and baptisms. He lived with his cameras in Room No. 4 of Clementina’s house. One afternoon, from his balcony, he saw a group of nurses passing by and, without even thinking about it, he took the best photograph of his life.
